Predicting Wins and Losses for Preseason Games

CFL Preseason is just around the corner. It's an exciting time when players make themselves known and get the recognition they need. Only a certain few can stay after preseason, however. Which teams will have the best preseason record? Join me as I make my predictions for each preseason game.

WEEK ONE

WINNIPEG AT SASKATCHEWAN

WINNER: SASKATCHEWAN

I think the home crowd will motivate the guys coming down from Saskatoon and really make them feel at home. Not to say Winnipeg won't have a chance, I think it'll be close, but I believe that the Rider's preseason roster at home takes this one over Winnipeg.

WEEK TWO

OTTAWA AT HAMILTON

WINNER: OTTAWA

Ottawa is looking to improve a lot next season, and from what I've heard, training camp has been very competitive. I predict that Ottawa will be more prepared than Hamilton and will walk away with a W.

SASKATCHEWAN AT EDMONTON

WINNER: SASKATCHEWAN

I believe the Elks will rotate McLeod Bethel-Thompson in to get him familiar with the CFL game again. But I also think the Riders will be playing most of their starters, while the Elks will not. Saskatchewan goes undefeated in the preseason.

BC AT CALGARY

WINNER: BC

With recent signings to BC's roster, namely Christian Covington, I think they will have the upper hand over the Stamps in this game. It may be close, but BC will have the upper hand.

TORONTO AT MONTREAL

WINNER: MONTREAL

The defending Grey Cup Champs will defend their nest in the preseason. Them being the defending champs would motivate the players to want to go out and earn a spot on the championship roster. The Als take this one.

WEEK THREE

HAMILTON AT TORONTO

WINNER: TORONTO

Unfortunately, Hamilton goes winless this preseason. What I think will happen is that the Argos will play Cameron Dukes, who already has CFL experience. With Bo Levi Mitchell in a walking boot already in practice, I don't think they will play him.

MONTREAL AT OTTAWA

WINNER: OTTAWA

Both teams will start to roll out starters at this point, but Montreal will only play Cody Fajardo for half the game. Ottawa will have at least half their starters out at this point, which will include Adarius Pickett. Ottawa also goes undefeated in the preseason.

CALGARY AT WINNIPEG

WINNER: WINNIPEG

Another 0-2 team in the preseason as Calgary falls to Winnipeg at Princess Auto Stadium. Winnipeg plays both Zach Collaros and Brady Oliveria in this game, who put up enough points to win.

EDMONTON AT BC

WINNER: EDMONTON

I think Edmonton will roll out all of their starting receivers as well as McBeth, who will roll out an arial attack at BC Place. BC will definitely be in this game, and it will be close, but I think Edmonton will walk away with the win.
